TERMS & CONDITIONS
Documentation and Verification
- You must submit valid copies of your National ID and Driver’s License to WTE Rides.
- All National IDs submitted must show Date of Birth.
- Provide proof of your address and a guarantor.
- You must be at least 21 years old and maintain a clean driving record to qualify for a rental.
- You must state the purpose of renting the vehicle.
Vehicle Use and Responsibilities
- Follow all safety protocols required of a licensed driver and exercise due care when operating the vehicle.
- You are fully responsible for any damages resulting from your use of the vehicle, including repair costs and associated expenses.
- Return the vehicle in the same condition as received, as verified by the designated WTE Rides officer.
- A WTE Rides officer will take a photograph of you inside or standing next to the vehicle (this image will be deleted upon the vehicle’s return).
- Use the vehicle only within the agreed jurisdiction and solely for legal purposes.
- If you need to use the vehicle beyond the agreed jurisdiction, you must inform us in advance so that the necessary procedures can be followed to grant you authorization.
- You agree to indemnify WTE Rides against any consequences resulting from unlawful use of the vehicle.
- If a third party uses the vehicle, you (as the client named on the invoice) will be held accountable.
- Refill the vehicle’s fuel to the level at which you received it and pay all toll charges and related levies.
- In the event of an accident, you must notify both the local authorities and WTE Rides immediately.
- If the rented vehicle is seized or apprehended by a Police Unit due to any cause, you must pay full amount for any additional days spent in custody of the Police.
- WTE Rides reserves the right to repossess a vehicle without prior notice if there is a breach of contract, including non-payment or unlawful use.
Financial Obligations
- Pay a security deposit (repair and maintenance surcharge), which will be refunded when you return the vehicle in the same condition as received, subject to deductions for damages or violations.
- Full payment is required to confirm your booking; this amount will be applied toward the total rental fee.
- For self-drive rentals, a security deposit is mandatory and will be refunded upon satisfactory return of the vehicle, minus any applicable charges for damages, late returns, or violations.
- Cancellation Fees:
- Cancellations made 7 days or more before the rental date incur no cancellation fee.
- Cancellations made 1–7 days before the rental date incur a 20% cancellation fee.
- Cancellations made on the day of rental or in the event of a no-show incur a 100% cancellation fee (full-day rental fee applies).
- Any cancellation fees and applicable transfer charges will be deducted from your deposit; the remaining balance, if any, will be refunded.
- A payment delay of up to two days will result in vehicle retrieval before the agreed return date.
- Additional charges may apply for excessive wear and tear or violation of these terms.
Rental Duration and Policy
- With Driver: The rental period includes 12 hours, ending at 8:00 PM; overtime fees apply beyond this time. Night rentals with a driver last 10 hours, with a full-day rate applied.
- Self-Drive: Rentals are for 24 hours, starting from the time you receive the vehicle.
- Rates apply to rentals within Accra; usage outside Accra will incur additional charges.
- Vehicle delivery and pickup are available at an extra charge based on your location. Alternatively, you may pick up the vehicle from our office at no additional cost.
- If the vehicle is returned to a different location without prior agreement, additional relocation fees will apply.
- All rentals are subject to prior availability and confirmation by WTE Rides.
Chauffeured Service (if applicable)
- Provide your full name and contact information for the invoice.
- WTE Rides’ designated driver is responsible for the vehicle’s safety and must ensure its return in the same condition as released.
- For overnight trips outside Accra, you must cover the driver’s accommodation and meal costs.
All other terms and conditions outlined above apply to Chauffeured Service rentals unless specifically stated otherwise.
Miscellaneous Provisions
- You must exercise due care when using the vehicle and will be held responsible for any negligence leading to damages or legal consequences.
- Insurance coverage is not included unless explicitly stated in your booking agreement; you are responsible for obtaining any additional coverage if required.
- The company accepts no liability for unauthorized vehicle usage or any resulting consequences.
- These terms and conditions are subject to change without notice. It is your responsibility to review the most current version prior to each rental.
